Jury Convicts Florida Man In Deadly Shooting of Black Father Markeis McGlockton, Sentencing Scheduled for the Fall — Atlanta Black Star

Michael Drejka, the white Florida man who claimed self-defense after shooting and killing an unarmed Black man in a heated dispute over a handicapped parking space, was found guilty of manslaughter Friday.

After just six hours of deliberation, a jury convicted Drejka in the July 2018 shooting that ended the life of 28-year-old Markeis McGlockton outside a convenience store in Clearwater. According to The Associated Press, Drejka looked at the floor, then wiped his brow with a handkerchief after the verdict was read. https://atlantablackstar.com/2019/08/26/jury-convicts-florida-man-in-deadly-shooting-of-black-father-markeis-mcglockton-sentencing-scheduled-for-the-fall/

    1. Bill, you are absolutely right about the reverse racism contemplation on the part of white apologist. You’re probably wishful thinking about it being a bellwether verdict. That Catholic Church settlement is the norm for most non-white settlements/trials. No different from pay inequities. Thanks for your input, Bill.
