  1. It’s not even a matter of being shot in the back of the head, a fraction of a second is enough time for a white cop to say “time’s up” and shoot a black in the face. “To serve and protect” on a squad car should be replaced with “Fearing-for-its-life self-serving cop on board.”

      1. Agreed. The fear mantra is only a protocol for cops attempting to get off with minimal consequence OR with outright impunity. It’s consistent with almost every case, no matter what the bodycam shows.

  2. I remember that moment and I just facepalmed. The level of ignorance and dare I say callousness was beyond me. I wish Killer Mike would stop supporting him. Then again, I’m no longer surprised after Sanders mentioned that he doesn’t want ADOS to get reparations.

  3. “I would do my best to identify who that police officer is in a polite way, ask him or her for their name,” he began. “I would respect what they are doing so that you don’t get shot in the back of the head.”

Getting shot in the ‘front of the head’ is far more likely, Sanders would be aware of that if he paid the slightest amount of attention.
